Nail art for this fall/winter :*

Hey everyone, so today I'm just going to keep it short and show you the nail art's I've seen around the internet that I just think look so cute to try for this fall/winter.

1. Ok so this is the first look I saw and I just think it's super adorable, and totally easy to do. Use any pastel blue as a base, then make an oval shape on two of your fingers with an opaque white. Next take a pastel pink and draw a small line as the penguin's nose, and two small blobs as it's feet. Lastly, dot on two black eyes, and apply a top coat. As simple as that!

2. Just look at this. Tell me these aren't the cutest nails everrrr! There really much simpler to do then they look, I did it this week and I got so many compliments! Ok so just start with a light tan color as a base. Next take a brown polish and make random dots up to the tip of your nail. Now paint a small green streak as the tip, make two black dots, apply a top coat, and you're good to go! Love these(:

3. This last nail art tutorial is my all time favorite..it's so creative and and unique and totally stands out in a sea of plain colors. Follow this video and tell me how your nails turn out!

Trends NOT to try..

Ok guys, now I know some of you may think this post is subjective..but these are just my honost opinions. You don't have to listen to me and if you feel awkward because you DO wear things like this..sorry /:

1. Short shorts and uggs/boots- this 'style' just confuses me. Is it summer or winter? You just can't decide so you choose to incorporate both into your outfit. Not good. Just stick with one, and try to remember what season you're in.

2. Leggings as pants. I get it- the comfortable fit, the sleek look, and the useful mobility. Sometimes, it is ok to just leave them at home and throw on some skinny jeans. The gym is a great place to wear leggings as pants but come on, out in the city? To the movies? I don't know, just seems like you're too lazy to get dressed..

3. The long pants version of a romper, you all know which ones I'm talking about. Not the cute summer version of the romper, but the is-it-a-romper-or-a-pair-of-pants? romper. Let's face it, celebrities MAYBE can pull them off, but that's only after their personal stylist took ten hours to pick out their outfits. Not only does it make ANY body shape look like a rectangle, but it drowns out any hip curves you may have.

Don't get me wrong, be an individual and show your own style, but keep it realistic..

How to Wear It: Crop Tops

We all know one of the new trends for this year is crop tops. But some people, honestly just don't know how to pull them off. Follow these simple rules, and you'll be good to walk out in public :)

1. Choose your length of the shirt wisely. Crop tops can either look cute and fashion forward, or trashy and just wrong. If you're going for a shorter shirt, (above your bellybutton or higher) consider a high waist bottom to show less skin and to compliment the top in general. Longer crop tops (bellow your bellybutton) can be worn many different ways and incorporate many different styles. For example, say you're going for that edgy rocker look. Try a mid-length crop top under a leather jacket, ripped jean shorts, and combat boots. BAM! Instant cool.

2. Not into showing your midriff but still want to try the crop top trend? Layer a tank top underneath! You could wear a light colored crop top paired with a dark undershirt, or switch that around and match a darker crop top with a neon or printed tanktop. The choices are endless..

3. Can't find that perfect crop top that compliments your body? Make your own! I can't tell you how many times I've seen cool shirts that I thought would look cooler if slashed up, so I did! You can find any oversized shirt, take a pair of scissors to them, and experiment for yourself. Not to mention how many countless Youtube tutorials there are on how to do it. Maybe you want to crop that old pajama shirt you couldn't decide it looked good, or it was just too big. Maybe you like your dad's old button down and want to try making THAT into a cute and sophisticated crop top. Be creative, and have fun. This style is definitely fun to incorporate into your wardrobe.
